Filtering

Online Trading Academy runs a pre-filter on all Equities data to eliminate securities which do not meet specific trading criteria. All Stocks must meet the following parameters in order to make it though a filter:

  • Price greater than $15
  • Price less than $80
  • Average Daily Volume greater than 1,000,000 shares

This is done in an attempt to keep traders away from the highly volatile and illiquid securities which present the most risk. All data is delayed 15 minutes.

Morning Start

This Tool combines 4 key resources to help traders start the trading day. It displays today’s economic calendar, today’s earnings calendar, current news headlines, and a market summary which displays the current values of the major market indices. This is designed to make traders aware of events which can have a dramatic impact on the trading day.

Economic Calendar

This tool gives you a comprehensive overview of all the major economic events happening in the US. This calendar can be sorted to display the events for today, or for the current trading week.

Earnings Calendar

This tool displays all the companies who have earnings releases for the current trading day. This calendar can be sorted to display the events for today, or for the current trading week.

Most Actives

This tool is broken into 4 major parts that alerts traders to the leaders and laggards for that current trading session.

Movers

This tool presents you with 4 groups of trending stocks. The first set shows stocks that are at, or near, their intraday highs/lows. The second set shows stocks that are at, or near, their 52 week highs/lows.

Forex Summary

Our custom tool displays 72 different currency pairs, in one easy to use screen. It also shows you the amount and percentage which that currency pair has moved for the day, as well as the high and low prices reached during the trading session.

Commodity Futures

This tool breaks down 49 commodity and futures contracts into 8 key segments.
