Investors Learn to Think Like Traders with New Professional-Level Education

Online Trading Academy launches “ProActive Investor” in 33 global locations

Irvine, CA, April 26, 2010. Investors who want to generate income and manage wealth have a new option for acquiring needed skills: the ProActive Investor series taught by Online Trading Academy via their global network of financial education centers. On-location courses are enrolling immediately at 33 centers in the U.S. and abroad.

“We found that many of our students want to learn a professional approach to better manage their big bucket of long term retirement assets,” explains Eyal Shahar, President of Online Trading Academy. “This is the solution: a learning track taught by professional and expert traders, but geared to the individual investor.”

The courses focus on the “big bucket” of family wealth that many individuals turn over to advisors, or sock away in a mutual fund, at the same time they are actively trading a “small bucket” of discretionary funds. “It’s great to make a short-term profit in the markets,” says Shahar, “but the big bucket is where you can make a real difference in your quality of life, both now and in the future. At the same time, many of the strategies used by funds and professional advisors are inherently risky. We teach you how to reduce your risk while maximizing your potential.”

The core ProActive Investor course is a five-day program taught at each of Online Trading Academy’s locations; the organization is also offering a half day “ProActive Investor Workshop” at no charge for investors who want to familiarize themselves with the program. Enrollment information is available at www.tradingacademy.com. The follow-on ProActive Investor XLT course, conducted entirely over the Internet, allows investors to share the desktop of a master trader in real time and get trading advice and portfolio analysis.

With 33 educational centers from Denver to Dubai, Online Trading Academy has trained nearly 18,000 students in a “learn by doing” method where they use professional workstations and make and analyze traders under the supervision of a master trader. The organization got its start as the largest trading floor in the Western United States in the 1990s and evolved into a training institute.
